I think most of us aware of Motorola mobile division situation. Last two years the performance was pathetic. And they had to delay hikes and cut some jobs last year to compensate the losses. A week before they even explored the option of selling mobile division. Later, it seems CEO grabbed the control of the mobile division.
There seems to be a rumor from inside Motorola that Google may acquire a part of Motorola mobile division. This division developed a platform, which could be a strong back end for the Google's Android. May be this is because of the recent delays caused in the releases of Android and also there were lot of issues in the first release of the Android. Definitely it takes a lot of time for Android to get stabilized. So it could be a right move for Google to go ahead with the acquisition to stand at the top in mobile space.
